Air Force Officer Requirements Prior Service
The ASVAB is a test that measures your aptitude. It consists of 10 short self-paced tests covering Vocabulary Comprehension, Paragraph Comprehension, Logical Division, Mathematical Comprehension, General Science, Automotive and Business Information, Mechanical Knowledge, Electronic Information, Digital Processing and Coding Speed. When you take the ASVAB before you enroll, you not only get scores on each of these tests, but most of the test scores combine to form three academic scores: verbal, numeracy, and academic skills.

If you are in high school, your first concern should be learning. Stay in school and graduate. Say no to drugs, keep your physical strength and stay out of trouble. Remember, take challenging courses (like Advanced Math, English, and Science, etc.) and you’ll have more opportunities later on.
Only US citizens or foreign nationals legally residing in the United States with an alien identification card (or “green card” – – INS Form I-151/551) may be used. Applicants must speak, write and read English well.

The United States Air Force Basic Training Program (often abbreviated as BMT) consists of eight weeks of intensive training (not including 4-5 work days) designed to improve a person’s inner capacity to get the best air.

The airman education and training program is designed for active airmen who have completed at least 45 semester hours of college credit. With such a head start, you can apply for this competitive program. AECP provides active-duty Airmen the opportunity to participate in continuing education in subjects the Air Force has determined are most important – such as computer engineering, computer science, electronic engineering, vision and nursing.
While enrolled in the academy, AECP members are promoted to the rank of staff sergeant (E-5) and receive full Air Force pay and benefits plus bill and book allowances.
Officer Candidate School
It is provided by the U.S. The Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs trains young men and women to become Air Force Officer Commanding Officers. Cadets complete four years of training leading to a Bachelor of Science degree. Emphasis is placed on education, training, athletics, and spiritual and moral development. Education includes courses in the natural sciences, engineering, humanities and social sciences. Within this framework, all cadets complete a basic course consisting of 91.5 semester hours. They can specialize in any of 25 disciplines.
Five steps: complete the nomination application requirements, complete the candidate survey, complete the candidate portfolio, secure the nomination from a member of Congress or other relevant authority, and complete the testing.
The Air Force Academy prepares recruits in the fundamentals of leadership and essential skills; develop a professional character; assess leadership potential; and appoint those qualified to become second lieutenants in all 16 branches of the Air Force.

The Air Force trains pilots through its pilot training program. Air Force pilots are usually commissioned officers who compete for pilot training opportunities. Air Force flight training has strict requirements. Vision requirements are 20/50 for pilots and 20/200 for sailors. Vision should be corrected to 20/20. Applicants with a history of photorefractive keratectomy (PRK), radial keratotomy (RK), or laser in-situ keratomileusis (LASIK) are ineligible for air duty.

If you have no previous service, you must be between 17 and 39 years old. Age requirements for paramedics and those with previous experience are different. The Air Force Reserve can answer your questions about age and thoroughness.
Us Military Enlistment Age Limits
This applies to security and police duties. Examples include supervised degraded duty training (IDT) periods and scheduled additional training. No more than two assessments may take place in one calendar day and each assessment must last at least four hours. Most units schedule multiple practices at the same end of each month (two practices on Saturday and two practices on Sunday).
Depending on the program, you will attend a training camp and possibly specialized training. Training sessions on weekends or weekdays are subject to training. Active Duty Training (ADT) is 12 days of active duty with your unit or air academy and is required annually.
By law, as a reserve member, you must provide time off when requested to meet a training need. The Uniform Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act requires employers to provide reservists with time off from work to perform duties. However, you must notify your employer that you intend to leave. You must be rehired and return to work within a reasonable time after your duty has ended. You must be treated as if you never left your job, including scheduled raises, promotions, or lifetime credits or vacation. Your job position is only open for 60 months if you accept orders.
